7 February 2017 – Icecat has been selected as finalist in the 2016/17 European Business Awards (EBA), receiving one of the ten “Ruban d’Honneurs” (ribbon of honnors) for The Business of the Year Award with Turnover of € 0-25 million.

Icecat is one of the finalists announced from over 33,000 businesses taking part in the competition, and it has been chosen by a panel of independent judges because it represents the EBA core values of innovation, ethics and success.

The company will now undertake an in depth face-to-face interview, and, at the Gala Final on May 4 in Dubrovnik, will find out if it is the winner of The Business of the Year Award in its category.

Martijn Hoogeveen, Icecat’s CEO, affirms: “We are honoured to receive the Ruban d’Honneur and become a finalist, based on the performance of the Icecat team. Somehow it coincides with our IPO at Dutch NPEX, which indicates that we are entering a new phase”.

Adrian Tripp, CEO of the European Business Awards says:

Surviving in this economic climate is hard enough. Therefore, innovating, prospering and growing as this year’s Ruban D’Honneur recipients have done is truly remarkable. Europe needs more companies like these. Well done to them all.

Icecat is also taking part in “The Public Vote” competition, where people choose the “National Public Champions” for each country.  Icecat is already one of the ten finalists to compete for this title.
