In the prospectus dated November 23, 2022 heeft PerfoTec indicate that they need growth financing for expected growth in the United States. After a lengthy negotiation phase, PerfoTec can now announce that Walmart has taken negotiations to a new level.
We are currently investigating not only how the collaboration can be made concrete, but also how the first steps will be set up. PerfoTec will implement and supervise the technology with suppliers, after which Walmart can further monitor success in the store phase.
Walmart has announced that the first packaged strawberries with PerfoTec technology will hit the shelves via Sam's Club because the volume is manageable for both parties in this initial phase. After a successful implementation at Sam's club, further rollout within Walmart will be made.
Walmart has also appointed a supplier with whom these first steps will be taken. Because this supplier of Sam's club is already a known customer of PerfoTec, PerfoTec is confident that this project at Walmart will lead to a success. This has laid an important foundation for the expected growth in 2023.
PerfoTec can also report that Mark & Spencer will start a validation process with bananas in January 2023. Due to the plastic debate, Mark & Spencer is looking for a new packaging solution. PerfoTec is confident that bananas packed in a PerfoTec LinerBag will come out on top. And since the banana is often the most sold fruit in a supermarket, the potential is enormous.
Finally, PerfoTec can report that the pending patent application for the new recyclable transparent film will be granted following a very positive search report from the European Patent Office.
