DirAct It

The traditional supply chain (logistics chain) has changed enormously in recent years as a result of, among other things, the development of the internet, extensive digitalization and globalization.

Companies are taking a new position in this chain. The boundary between B2B and B2C is blurring and all parties are trying to get their goods directly to the consumer (All to Consumer). Product and order information must be available everywhere and goods must move quickly and efficiently.

These developments require innovative and smart software solutions to handle logistics and order flows.

About DirAct It

We are a software company with proprietary software: Ceyenne software. This software automates logistics processes for order handling. The software can be used for orders that can be placed through different sales channels and fulfilled through different distribution channels (omnichannel).

Ceyenne WMS

Our Ceyenne software consists of 4 parts. It is an important pillar within Ceyenne warehouse management system (WMS). This WMS controls all logistics processes in warehouses. The software determines how and where the goods are stored in a warehouse and keeps track of inventories. In addition, the software determines how the goods are collected, packaged and shipped as efficiently as possible.

Ceyenne concentrator

De concentrator software collects information about orders and products from different systems in a central location. All different systems are kept up to date from that central location. The software calculates which information can be shown where, when and under what conditions. The system also determines how an order can be handled and delivered most efficiently.

Services

In addition to the software, we also provide the services to put it into use. Due to the increasing demand for Cloud solutions, we have specialized in recent years hosting services for our software. In this way we can fully relieve our customers of their automation needs.

Growth

We have grown strongly since our founding in 2007. While until three years ago this growth mainly came from a few large customers, in 2014 we consciously made the choice to focus more on the further development and sale of our Ceyenne software suite.

This quickly led to a growth in the number of customers. In 2015, the internal business processes were adjusted and professionalized for this purpose. The required flexibility and continuity in our workforce resulted in the establishment of an office in Sofia, Bulgaria at the end of 2015.

In 2016, it was decided to better integrate all components with each other. The success of the Ceyenne translated into the strongest increase in the number of customers ever. This success continued in 2017 to such an extent that we have started further orientation abroad.

By shifting focus, total turnover has grown less rapidly. On the other hand, the ratio of turnover from major and other customers has improved enormously. Because the share in turnover is out Ceyenne software As a result, recurring turnover has increased sharply almost proportionately.

As a result of the strategy, the ratio of turnover from different industries and business types has shifted to a more balanced ratio in recent years.

Even though we have made these changes in recent years, we have been able to remain profitable. We have also been able to invest more than ever in product development.

Markt

We are active in the market of software providers for logistics omnichannel software. This concerns the market in the Netherlands and Belgium. Sales activities will start in Germany and Austria this autumn.

We do not have a clearly defined market definition. This means that the market we operate in is large. We have a small market share in this market. The companies we compete with in our acquisition processes are often large international companies.

Growth sector software market

The software market is a growth sector (sourceING Bank). The drivers that ING Bank describes are also visible as a trend in our part of the market. We see the possible brake on expansion due to finding suitable staff as described by ING Bank as a risk. We resolved this by opening an office in Bulgaria.

In addition to the above trend, we also see more use being made of mobile apps and the internet. The traditional differences between the B2B and B2C markets are disappearing. E-commerce sales are growing and there are opportunities for wholesalers as chain directors in the supply chain. These last two trends in the market are especially important to us.

Added value for wholesalers

First of all, our products are increasingly distinguishing themselves as added value for wholesalers who are in a digital transition to e-commerce.

In its economic views for 2017 on wholesale, ING Bank reports that wholesale turnover is increasing and there are great opportunities as director of the chain (sourceING Bank). Companies will have to automate, because the industry often lags behind in this. We can play an excellent role in this with our Ceyenne software.

Increase in e-commerce

The increase in the e-commerce market in the first half of 2017 was 13% compared to the previous year (source:Thuiswinkel.Org). The increase is expected to be 2017% for the whole of 12. This trend has a positive influence on the size of the market in which we operate.

Customers

Our customers are often in the middle of SMEs and are active in wholesale, logistics services or e-commerce. They often find themselves in a rapidly changing market or experiencing strong growth.
